Tweet Us Your Best World Book Day Costumes And Win A Bounty Of Books For Your School

  • Tweet Us Your Best World Book Day Costumes And Win A Bounty Of Books For Your School

Today is World Book Day. It’s a celebration of reading first and foremost, of course – but also a day that will see pupils up and down the land turning up to school dressed as their favourite literary characters.

We want to highlight some of today’s best dressed participants, be they pupils or staff, in a Teachwire post tomorrow – so tweet your pictures of the most impressive, amusing (or possibly strangest) costume worn at your school today while including the @teachwire Twitter handle, and who knows – you might make it into our World Book Day hall of fame.

To sweeten the deal, we’re giving away a pile of no less than 16 KS1 and KS2 books to the school of that lucky tweeter who posts our favourite picture of the day. Entries close this evening at 11.59pm GMT (3rd March 2016), and the winner will be notified tomorrow.

The full list of titles is as follows:

Mind-Boggling Science: What Came Before the Big Bang? by Simon Holland
Spook’s: The Dark Army (The Starblade Chronicles) by Joseph Delaney
The Big Book of Bugs by Yuval Zommer
