See what titles are on offer in March and prepare your lessons with free complementary resources

  • £1 Books For World Book Day 2017

Everyone loves a bargain in the January sales, but not a lot gets talked up about the fantastically low prices in March.

Well, outside of schools perhaps.

World Book Day 2017 takes place on Thursday 2 March next year, which of course means you can get your token and bag yourself a free book.

More than 15 million £1 World Book Day book tokens will be distributed (almost one for every child/young person under 18 in the UK and Ireland). And all they need to do is take it to their nearest participating bookshop and swap it for one of the 10 new and exclusive titles.

Plus, if you head to worldbookday.com you’ll find resources and more to support the texts.

The World Book Day book tokens are valid from Monday 27 February-Sunday 26 March 2017, but that doesn’t mean you can’t start thinking about which one you’d want now.

Here are the 10 titles on offer:

1. Peppa Pig Loves World Book Day

2. Everyone Loves Underpants by Claire Freedman

3. Where’s Wally? by Martin Handford

4. The Famous Five: Good Old Timmy and Other Stories by Enid Blyton

5. Horrid Henry: Funny Fact Files by Francesca Simon

6. Princess Mirror-Belle by Julia Donaldson

7. Butterfly Beach by Jacqueline Wilson

8. A Story for World Book Day by David Walliams

9. Island by David Almond

10. Dead of Night by Michael Grant
