Fruit purveyor now taking bookings on activity days themed around nutrition and orange consumption…
Primary schools are being invited to book themselves in as stops on the ‘Jaffa Juniors’ tour – an initiative launched by Jaffa Oranges in partnership with Tesco’s Eat Happy Project, which sees Jaffa representatives hold educational activity days for groups of up to 32 KS1 and KS2 children at a time.
Running from 9.30am to 3pm, each activity day will require the use of a hall or gym, and consist of four 55-minute sessions. Each session involves a series of ‘orange-based learning activities’, which will cover the life cycle of an orange, where oranges come from and their nutritional benefits, among other areas. Two members of staff supplied by Jaffa Juniors – both DBS-checked – will set up and oversee the day’s activities, with at least one member of the host school’s staff present throughout. The day’s staff and activities will be provided to schools free of charge.
