A fun and creative lesson plan to help children get active by creating a unique game of Tig Tag. Children work together to create an original game, in which each child is responsible for designing their own part of the game.
The Tig Tag Games lesson plan is based on the Active Inspiration Play Makers approach, created by Virgin Active and the University of Bedfordshire, which aims to explore new methods of teaching PE and re-establish the subject as an integral part of primary education.
Play Makers draws from Dr Vicky Goodyear’s initial work on Cooperative Learning – contact her via Twitter at @Vgoodyear to find out more.
