Win the books shortlisted for the 2024 CLiPPA

The CLiPPA is the UK’s top award for published poetry for children. Past winners include Carol Ann Duffy, John Agard, Jackie Kay, Joseph Coelho and, recently, Michael Rosen and Valerie Bloom.

This year’s shortlist features outstanding new collections, including:

  • A Dinosaur at the Bus Stop by past winner Kate Wakeling
  • The Final Year by frequently shortlisted poet Matt Goodfellow
  • My Heart is a Poem, an anthology which explores the world of feelings
  • Balam and Lluvia’s House which features poems describing the everyday lives of young siblings in Guatemala
  • And I Climbed and I Climbed, a comic but emotionally intense collection drawing on poet Stephen Lightbown’s experience as a wheelchair user

There’s something for every young reader or poetry fan. CLPE has special resources for every book on its website.
