Children learn by playing and educational toys encourage the development of essential skills like creativity, thinking outside the box, and problem-solving.

The solution offered by Engino Education are these must-have educational tools that are developed to encourage STEM learning in every age step.

Like it or not, times have changed, and children are now familiar with technology. Using this trend while adding lots of fun, you can accelerate the development of students. That’s exactly where STEM and robotics educational tools come into play.

Still, there is a critical point: children in different ages need different educational tools that offer the age-appropriate value to a developing brain.

Different learning tools work best for different age groups. STEM education should include experiences designed to be developmentally appropriate across all grade levels. This is crucial for engaging students while staying within their ability to challenge, and to encourage their learning process.

This is what Engino Education has managed: providing STEM together with robotics and coding experience tailored to students’ level.

Engino Education sets are designed to maximise student engagement from an early age up until university studies, even hobbyists! Each set features hands-on learning, through project-based lesson plans, enabling teachers to educate students in all STEM and robotics fields.

More precisely, the Engino Education tools as developed for every level group are:

1. STEM Qboidz 3-6

This set encourages early learning, capitalising on young ones’ natural curiosity about the world. It provides more than 90 activities from favourite themes, such as Animal Kingdom, Vehicles, Aviation and Technology. Building big, colourful and stable models, manipulating the 3D app, and taking part in educating activities helps preschool children develop their cognitive social skills through fun and creative play.

2. Junior Robotics 5-8

Specially designed for kindergarten and primary school, this set combines the core subjects of STEM together with robotics – the perfect way to start developing students’ motor skills. Activities begin with the captivating adventurous story of a hero, Alex, to construct eight dedicated STEM models. Then, basic principles of robotics and programming are introduced with the use of a sensor, LED module, motor and controller.

3. STEM & Robotics Mini 6-9

Designed for primary school students of ages 6-9. The set challenges students to seek new information to solve problems while constructing more than 60 STEM models. Furthermore, the activities adhere to the basic principles of robotics and resonate by moving on to more complex concepts of programming with the introduction of sensors, conditional statements and logic gates.

4. STEM & Robotics Pro 8-15

Designed for providing practical inquiry processes, this set elevates students’ skills and knowledge ‘toolkit’ with more than 80 STEM building models. Combined with robotic parts, such as sensors, LED modules, motors and seven-part controller, it allows students to take part in activities using models, then moves forward to concepts including sensors, conditional statements and logic gates. The models of Automated House and Pedestrian Crossing harness students’ curiosity and learn all about automation and road safety.

5. STEM & Robotics Produino 14+

This set helps effectively teach core subjects of STEM together with robotics and coding. Models are powered by the new advanced Produino controller – the innovation of this lies in its brain; which incorporates the open-source Arduino platform; while constructing reconfigurable robots. The Produino software is a blocky drag-and-drop interface, similar to Scratch. It is compatible with Arduino, with the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) editor that is used for advanced text programming. The program can run on Android and iOs tablets, Mac, Windows, even Linux! The booklets included in this set, provide detailed explanations of the different scientific principles applied, and incorporate innovative experimental activities for hands-on learning.

Benefits of every single educational set

  • Engino Education offers comprehensive classroom solutions covering a wide range with real-life examples of science and technology subjects, tailored to all levels of education. They provide high-quality curriculum-linked activities with concepts being taught in detail through fun and interactive activities which engage and motivate students.
  • Takes time very seriously
Models are easily assembled and modified using the patented snap-fit Engino system, providing students time to experiment and discover the scientific notions, while offering educators all the material to facilitate well-structured lessons.
  • KEIRO software
A key element of any robotics system is the programming software. Engino Education knows that and has developed this special Scratch-like software, KEIRO, allowing different methods of programming depending on students’ needs and capabilities. Robots can also be programmed manually using the on-board buttons. This software is used for editing the program and adding complex functionality via a user-friendly flow diagram interface. Furthermore, a remote control is available for smart devices via Bluetooth connection. Free apps are also available in Google Play and Apple store.

It’s not that we will need more roboticists (although this is true); it is that all students need to build stronger STEM skills and robotics literacy.

The idea here is that more jobs will be coming out in future years that require science, technology, engineering, and mathematics knowledge. So, introducing students to these concepts at an early age can really give them a boost at the early stages on their lives.

The benefits of any STEM and robotics educational tool depend on the subject matter that it is intended to teach, but in general, these tools go a bit further than regular educational toys to enhance divergent thinking and innovation, help children develop coordination, and better promote their spatial skills.

After all, if your students are having fun and maximising their learning, that is all that matters.
