Market culture is very prevalent in much of Africa, Asia and Europe. People in Italy and Spain, for example, are more likely to go to the market to buy their weekly meat, fish and other fresh goods.
This plan can be adapted for teaching all modern languages and has been devised to not only teach new vocabulary, but also to encourage children to reflect on our high streets and the demise of the small, independent shop.
