Using picture books for KS2 allows you to make use of the rich language and challenging themes that the very best of these books employ.
In this lesson, children will have the opportunity to enjoy the book, Professional Crocodile. They’ll explore the crocodile’s daily routine as he sets off to work.
They’ll also have the chance to develop their descriptive writing and practise focusing on small details within a story to engage their reader.
What they’ll learn

- Explain opinions about a book, justifying ideas with evidence from the text
