Open until 15 March 2026 at Immerse LDN, Excel London Waterfront, the Last Days of Pompeii: The Immersive Exhibition brings history to life.

Your pupils will embark on a captivating journey back to 79 AD, experiencing the vibrant life and sudden catastrophe of the ancient Roman city of Pompeii.

What to expect

This immersive exhibition spans over 2,000 square metres and takes a minimum of approximately 90 minutes to explore.

Visitors will encounter stunning 360-degree digital projections, a seated VR adventure placing students in the midst of an exhilarating gladiator battle in the Colosseum, interactive installations allowing pupils to become a digital archaeologist for the day, a metaverse experience revealing the lost beauty of The Villa of the Mysteries, an AI photobooth and more!

Designed for all ages, the exhibition fosters both education and emotional connection, making history come alive in a way that is unforgettable for every student. Explore the intertwining narratives of artefacts and sculptures that connect past and present, ensuring a truly engaging and educational experience.

Immerse LDN, Excel London Waterfront provides a pdf copy of the in-exhibition sellable brochure programme, which contains the copy and images from the information panels within the exhibition.

It also provides a pdf of an educational resource for both teachers and students.

Minimum and maximum group size

The exhibition can accommodate a maximum group of 50 children at one time (generally, a group of 50 will be split into two groups of 25 on-site for ease). Larger groups will need to be split into groups of 50 per 15-minute entry slot.
