The teaching aims of this lesson are to explain what wages are and what is included on a wage slip, national insurance and income tax and what they are, wage entitlement and ensure students are aware of what they are entitled to and where their money is going.
Students will be able to identify the different figures and aspects contained in a wage slip, gain an understanding of what national insurance and income tax are and what they are for and understand what the minimum wage is and what they are entitled to.
