The British Heart Foundation is passionate about providing the opportunity for children across the UK to learn life saving CPR skills and providing you with high-quality resources to do this.
Personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education lessons are an ideal context in which to deliver crucial life saving skills to young people, and the BHF Call Push Rescue CPR teaching materials have now been awarded the PSHE Association Quality Mark for best practice PSHE Resources.
These resources are designed for use with the BHF’s CPR kit, which is also available free to all eligible schools.
The resource includes:
A two-session plan (PDF):
Full session (2 x 1-hour lesson guide)
Shorter alternative session (1-hour lesson guide)
Confidence continuum and quiz
PowerPoint presentation designed to:
Support teachers in the delivery of their Call Push Rescue training sessions
Provide more information for Head teachers, Senior Leadership Team, colleagues, parents and carers
Contain Call Push Rescue training session appendices
The British Heart Foundation funds over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases and the things that cause them. Heart diseases. Stroke. Vascular dementia. Diabetes. They’re all connected, and they’re all under BHF’s microscope.
