What is it?
Needing no teacher preparation time, GoCuriosity is a personalised cross-curricular engagement platform that stimulates natural curiosity by providing connected learning through pupil choice. It’s fully ready for distance learning and is curriculum referenced.
Pupils access the website through their own individual account and choose their own unique route through the 3000-year timeline, exploring the moments and events that they find are of most interest to them.
As they travel, they must navigate by switching between the science, nature, history, culture, rights and sport journey lines.
On their voyage, pupils choose challenges from a library of hundreds; each carefully written to promote the seven GoCuriosity essential life skills: literacy, numeracy, communication, visualisation, experimentation, research and memory.
The challenges are accessed online but completed in the real world in any way the pupil feels appropriate; essays to experiments, models to mind maps, diaries to debates.
Once completed, pupils submit their work for assessment and, if passed by the teacher, they can proudly move along and choose another challenge.
No preparation is required as teachers are fully supported – each challenge has matching teacher notes. As children are working independently on something they have chosen, a completely different in-class dynamic is created that allows you time to work with individual students.
