Little City UK provides mobile role-play cities for children to explore. With bespoke backdrops and specially selected toys and equipment, children can use pretend play to learn in their own way.
1. Fun for all ages
Pretend play isn’t just for Reception classes: Little City has delivered over 400 school visits this calendar year for children across all year groups, from EYFS to KS2.
Each visit gives children the opportunity to engage in pretend play and imaginative thinking to build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, improve their social capabilities, and enhance their vocabularies.
Sessions are fully inclusive and accessible to everyone, making them an ideal opportunity for mainstream schools as well as SEND settings.
2. Tailored to your needs
The mobile nature of Little City means that school visits can be tailored to any space, from school halls to individual classrooms. Schools can choose between a variety of miniature role-play environments, including bakeries, salons, post offices, and hospitals, which align with key areas of the national curriculum.
Immersive learning and pretend play can be used to support multiple curriculum areas, from history and languages to PSHE and careers education, making it ideal for all school years.

3. Show, don’t tell
Setting up a mobile pretend bakery and aligning it with other little cities to replicate London during the 1600s is a great way to bring KS1 history lessons to life. Pupils can visually see how and why the Great Fire of London was able to spread so rapidly from the bakery on Pudding Lane.
Opportunities like this make learning more memorable and interactive and are ideally suited for school children who may prefer visual methods of understanding and retaining information.
4. Great value for money
Taking 30 children off-site can easily cost hundreds of pounds in transport, entry fees, and staffing costs. A Little City visit, delivered in your school, starts from just £220 – that’s approximately £3–4 per child for a two-hour immersive workshop for up to 60 pupils. You won’t need to stress about coach hire or staffing provision either.
Each session is tailored to year group needs and can be shared with a local nursery to support transition. It’s a high-impact, low-cost way to enrich learning and stretch your budget further.

5. Explore the world of work
Through imaginative role play, Little City mobile play cities offer a dynamic way to enrich PSHE lessons. Children can explore different roles and responsibilities while gaining insight into the world of work.
Each city can be tailored to reflect a variety of career pathways, from healthcare and hospitality to construction and retail, helping pupils connect classroom learning with real-life possibilities. This hands-on approach sparks curiosity, builds empathy, and encourages children to see themselves as active participants in their communities and future workplaces.
