What is it?

At internationally renowned rescue centre, Monkey World, over 260 rescued and endangered primates are rehabilitated into natural family groups.

There’s more to learning outside the classroom than just monkeying around!

Whether you’re learning about Monkey World’s rescue work, impacts of deforestation or chimpanzee politics, the education team can enhance a trip to Monkey World or support learning in the classroom.

See conservation in action, as animals stolen from the wild into the black market trade are rehomed at the centre. Some still show psychological and physical scars of their past lives.

Choose from a range of talks and curriculum-linked workshops suitable for all ages and levels of study.

Topics such as rainforests, evolution, adaptation and nutrition are brought to life, and pupils will walk away with a better understanding of our primate cousins, as well as compassion and empathy for their welfare.

All of the talks and workshops are also available as outreach sessions – the education team can bring Monkey World to you!

Support is offered to teachers through pre-visit plans, teacher packs and additional resources post visit.

Monkey World’s education team are here to help you get the most out of your school trip, so get in touch today!

“We had a wonderful time. The guided talks went down a treat and we had lots of very happy (and tired!) students on the coach on the way home.”
