Help children love to learn with Learning Resources

What is it?

Schools across the UK trust and rely on Learning Resources’ high-quality, innovative learning aids to support teaching in early years, KS1, and KS2. Our extensive range of innovative resources offers early years educators and primary school teachers a wide variety of fun, hands-on toys, games, manipulatives and teaching aids that are suitable for children’s different developmental stages, learning processes and styles. Products are designed to support lessons and help students build a firm foundation in the skills they need to thrive at school and beyond.

Learning Resources offers a broad range of maths, literacy, STEM, coding, fine motor skills, outdoor and creative play toys, and games to support learning.

Our resources help teachers by offering hands-on, play-based aids children can use to actively engage with the concepts they’re learning in the classroom through first-hand exploration and play.

These resources also support teacher assessments and offer intervention aids to help children build a secure understanding of concepts.

By offering lots of fun ways to engage with children’s different developmental stages, and learning processes and styles, Learning Resources helps teachers create accessible and rich learning experiences.

Teacher tried-and-tested favourites include:

MathLink Cubes

MathLink Cubes are the connectable, stackable cubes that give students a variety of hands-on ways to build number sense, and visualise and solve simple maths problems. These colourful plastic cubes come in 10 different colours and feature geometric shape cut outs for patterning activities.

Numberblocks

Numberblocks is the award-winning TV series that helps children see how numbers really work. Learning Resources has developed two special edition Numberblocks MathLink Cubes sets.

These sets have everything children need to build the Numberblocks One to Ten, and Eleven to Twenty, in all the ways shown in the episodes, and include supporting material featuring fun maths activities.

Botley 2.0

Botley 2.0 the Coding Robot is ideal for using in ICT and STEM learning. Lessons using Botley 2.0 help children learn computing concepts including logic, algorithms, and build critical thinking, collaboration, and social skills.

Botley 2.0 is easy to use for solo and small group activities and is completely screen-free. Children use the Remote Programmer to programme a sequence of up to 150 steps.

Botley 2.0 can move in up to six directions, has fun feature including light-up eyes, and is also ideal for exploring STEM concepts such as cause-and-effect.

Big Feelings Pineapple

From hands-on social-emotional learning aids that encourage children to self-manage emotions, to fun activities such as the Big Feelings Pineapple, teachers will find lots of engaging ways to help children express their feelings and emotions.

“Our school is full of products from Learning Resources. We use them to reinforce learning across all areas of the curriculum. The products are interactive and fun and fully engage children across all ages. Botley 2.0 was a firm favourite and really reinforced the children’s coding skills – they were able to set commands and really challenge themselves”
