What is it?
ClaroRead is easy to use text-to-speech software. It reads text aloud using a range of high-quality voices and highlights words as they are being read.
ClaroRead helps with editing as it can check spelling and homophones, so you can be sure that you are writing exactly what you mean to say. This reduces anxiety and embarrassment and lets you focus on the meaning and not be held back by individual words.
ClaroRead works with pictures, on the internet, in PDFs, in fact anywhere where there is text it can read it aloud.
The software and apps are approved by the JCQ for use during exams, reducing the anxiety and embarrassment caused by having to ask a human reader to read questions numerous times – and it is better value too!
You can purchase a perpetual or annual site license or an individual license which can be downloaded onto a PC, Mac or even a pen drive.
The software comes with mobile apps that can help with reading when you’re on the move and also a Chrome extension.
The additional extra features including ScreenRuler (screen tinting), ClaroIdeas (mind mapping) and ClaroCapture (study referencing tool) provide even more support.
There are many different voices and languages to choose from and the speed can be changed as well.
