This worksheet is designed to help children learn how to write a letter m in lowercase.

By tracing over the dotted outlines of the letter ‘m’, young learners can familiarise themselves with its shape and structure before attempting to write it independently.

The space provided beneath the dotted letters allows children to practise writing the letter ‘m’ on their own, reinforcing their understanding of its form.

In addition to the letter tracing activity, the worksheet features a picture of a mouse. This illustration not only adds visual appeal to the worksheet but also offers children an opportunity for creative expression.

After completing the letter formation exercises, students can further engage their fine motor skills by colouring in the picture of the mouse using their favourite colours.

Through this combination of tracing exercises and creative activities, children can develop both their handwriting abilities and their artistic sensibilities.

The tactile experience of tracing and writing letters helps strengthen their muscle memory and control, while the colouring activity encourages imagination and attention to detail.

Jelly and Bean’s reading scheme follows the phonic progression of the UK government’s Letters and Sounds, including the introduction of the first 100 high-frequency words, followed by the next 200 words. Find out more at jellyandbean.co.uk. Browse more handwriting activities.
