About the Awards

Tech for Teachers is a unique awards scheme, with genuine classroom impact at its heart. In order to be recognised by our judges, products and resources must be as effective as they are innovative, demonstrating clear benefits for teaching and learning, value for money, and long-term potential (we aren't interested in fads - because schools aren't, either).

Entries are invited across six, curriculum-linked categories, and - in order that as wide a range of submissions as possible can be considered - are absolutely free. Our winners will be chosen by an expert panel of teachers, leaders, consultants and writers with direct experience of the secondary sector.

Last year's winners

Last year's winners included LyricsTraining – a free, online resource that helps young people develop their language skills through music videos and song lyrics; HegartyMaths, which is rapidly becoming one of the most popular and comprehensive maths platforms around; and Class VR, about which our judge said, "after experiencing it, I wouldn't want to offer anything less to my pupils." See the full list of winners here.

How to enter

Putting yourself in the running for a Tech for Teachers Award couldn't be easier - simply nominate the product or resource you'd like to enter. It's completely free of charge, meaning a level playing field right across the sector; whether you're an industry giant or an innovative start-up, it's the quality of what you have to offer educators that will count.

You will find a full list of categories below. You may find that a product or resource is suited to more than one category; in this case, simply choose the one you feel is most appropriate.

(We reserve the right to move entries to alternative categories based upon the information provided during the nominations process.)
