Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed candidate to join our school in the position of Class Teacher (Lower Juniors).

The key tasks of the role are to:
• Be responsible for the teaching and welfare of the children in your class and the School
• Promote the progress and well-being of every child
• Plan, implement and deliver an appropriate curriculum for all pupils
• Undertake the professional duties and responsibilities of a teacher as set out in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions document and the Teachers’ Standards

From September 2020 there will be an opportunity for any successful candidate to be considered for a Year Group Leader or Lead Subject Coordinator role.

Essential educational requirements

Qualified teacher status, Degree/PGCE or equivalent qualifications

Essential skills and experience

Evidence of successful teaching experience

Ability to work as a co-operative member of a teaching team

To have successfully provided a high quality differentiated curriculum

Clear understanding of how to organise a high quality learning environment

Knowledge of the National Curriculum and recent innovations, and their significance in Primary Education
