Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant job in a Primary school?
Are you an aspiring primary teacher ready to sign up to teacher training next year?

If you’ve answered ‘YES’ to the above, we would love to hear from you.
This large 3 form entry primary school is located in Brent, North West London and in the shadows of the iconic Wembley Stadium. Thanks to its proximity to Wembley Stadium this school is well connected by public transport, with a 3 minute walk to a main line tube station and a bus that stops right outside the front gates. The school also has a large staff car park for those of you who like to drive.
This school has been graded ‘Good’ by OfSTED, and is close to becoming an outstanding school. Serving a large and diverse multicultural area of London, this school is typical of an inner city environment. Many languages are celebrated throughout this school, and this would be an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain experience prior to teacher training.
The school has some of the best facilities and resources on offer, and this is down to the hard work of the Headteacher and parents, who often raise money from PTA events. With the school being a leading primary within the LEA, it is oversubscribed every year. Teaching at this school is good to outstanding, meaning you will get the chance to work with some top professionals in the game.
The Headteacher has informed me she is looking for a Teaching Assistant who has the ability to make an impact with her KS2 children. Ideally she wants an academically strong graduate with high expectations and a passion for education. Hence this Teaching Assistant role would suit an aspirational primary teacher. Depending on your experience, and ability to engage children in KS2, the class you will join is open for discussion at interview. You will definitely join a KS2 class, so you will need to be confident, creative, firm and fair. For the rest of the academic year, as a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with one teacher in the same class. If you’re someone who wants to get into primary teaching because they find it rewarding, working with the same students and seeing their progression come July will give you great satisfaction. This is a school that really does well in their SAT exams, and for someone looking to become a primary teacher, this experience could be essential.
For more information about this Teaching Assistant post, the school and job specification email a CV and covering letter to David at Edustaff.
