An opportunity has now arisen for a passionate and forward thinking Teacher of Science to join their Science team. The role will be a full time position to start in September. For this role, you must be able to teach key stage 3 & 4. You must have had experience in a secondary school teaching across age and ability range.
This would suit an experienced teacher or an NQT as they are a transitioning school with a bright future and a lot of support available.
Enrichment and extra-curricular activities are central to the school's culture and ethos. Pupils enjoy coming to school in large part because of the sporting, musical, theatrical and artistic opportunities that they have outside of lessons. Pupils' behaviour is outstanding Leaders set high expectations of staff and pupils, who rise to the challenge. Morale is high among staff and pupils The curriculum is broad and balanced, supporting pupils' outstanding outcomes because of the chance pupils have to be successful in a range of subjects.
Science is taken by all students from years 7-11. It includes: Biology, Chemistry and Physics which are each taught as discrete topics throughout school. By the end of year 11 students will sit either Combined Science - Trilogy (worth 2 GCSEs) or Separate Science (worth 3 GCSEs).
