We are looking for a qualified teacher of Mathematics at our Dovedale Centre, a provision for pupils with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) from upper KS2 to KS4. All young people who attend Dovedale have an EHC Plan and many of our pupils have co-existing conditions such as ADHD Tourette’s Syndrome, attachment disorders and other social, emotional and mental health needs. Pupils are taught in classes of up to nine with a teacher and a teaching assistant. Many of our pupils have gaps in their education and we strive to implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage, enabling all our pupils to access learning and make expected progress. We are looking for resilient and dynamic teacher who can inspire and support young people to thrive. You should be able to develop the needs of the whole child and be committed to enabling all young people to achieve their potential. You must demonstrate tenacity coupled with experience of teaching KS3 – KS4 Maths. You should have QTS and a track record as a consistently good/outstanding practitioner.

You will also be required to register and pay for the DBS update service and ensure that documentary evidence is produced to ensure annual compliance and updates. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
