SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
Do you have experience working with children with Severe Learning Disabilities, in a school or home?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in an outstanding Special Needs school in Doncaster.
The school is for students of all ages and various abilities, ranging from moderate learning difficulties, to communication difficulties to complex and profound needs. The post requires a talented SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who is flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting children to join their team of dedicated staff.
Due to the nature of the children attending the school the role could involve personal care, behaviour management and activities such as hydrotherapy.
All applicants must have a fantastic attitude and a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment, provide high quality support and be able to take direction from a class teacher.
The role will include:
Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and observations
Rotated 1:1 support with students that require it
Running small group sessions
Working cohesively with other staff members
