Full or Part-Time Teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition
Required for January 2022
Enhanced United Learning Salary Scale
Suitable for Early Career Teachers

At The Regis School, we enjoy building positive relationships with young people in a culture of high expectations of staff and students, strong discipline and a determination to achieve ‘The Best in Everyone’ through limitless ambition.

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and motivated teacher of Food Preparation and Nutrition, welcoming them into our ambitious Creative Technologies Faculty. Food Preparation is a highly popular subject with both KS3 and a significant number of our KS4 students. Food teaching is valued for delivering Education with Character within our curriculum and through extracurricular opportunities. This position is suitable if you are an experienced teacher seeking a new challenge, or if you are new to teaching and looking for the right school to start your career. The ability to teach Textiles or another Technology subject would be desirable, but not essential. The Head of Faculty is happy to discuss the expectations of the position; with flexibility in role and working hours a possibility. If you are driven to strive for high attainment and develop a passion for food beyond the curriculum then we would be excited to hear from you.

The Regis School is a has over 1600 students and nearly 200 staff. We have an amazing school building with superb facilities across all subjects, but that doesn’t define who we are. What defines us is our very real sense of community as a Rights Respecting School; a togetherness that permeates through daily school life and focuses everyone on ensuring ‘The Best in Everyone.’

As part of United Learning we are able to offer pay scales above the national standard with rapid progression for those who get consistent outstanding student outcomes, reduced gym membership to our on-site gym, reduced fees for the on-site nursery, and a laptop. There is a car leasing scheme and all staff can access ‘Perkbox’ offering discounts in weekly shopping, high street stores and flights and holidays. We want the best for all our staff as well as our students.

There is an open invite for you to come and see us because we appreciate that, in teaching, moving to a new school is a significant decision. We are convinced our young people will sell this opportunity better than anything you can read on a website, so we encourage you to come and meet us all. Please contact Vicky Ovens on 01243 871068 or email vicky.ovens@theregisschool.co.uk to arrange a visit to the school or a phone conversation.

This is an exciting time to join us: you will become a part of a close knit and determined team, built on an ethos of trust and collaboration. As a member of The Regis School and United Learning you will receive excellent Professional Development.

Closing date: Wednesday 20th October 2021 9am
Interviews: Friday 22nd October 2021

The Regis School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all who work at the school to share this commitment. All positions are subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
