What is it?

OUP (in association with Testbase) has created Oxford National Curriculum Tests for maths, reading, and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. They are SATs-style tests designed to accurately assess pupils’ knowledge and application of National Curriculum content from Y2-6.

Developed by assessment experts, including experienced National Test question writers, reviewers and curriculum advisers, the Oxford National Curriculum Tests are a series of robust, paper-based tests that reflect the style and challenge of the SATs.

They have been developed for the current National Curriculum in England and follow the STA test framework specifications.

Covering Maths, Reading, and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling the tests will help you to see whether pupils are on-track to meet expectations, benchmark results nationally and gain valuable insights to inform ongoing teaching and learning, drawing on MERiT, the accompanying online reporting tool.

Previously available as the Optional Tests and Progress Tests, Oxford is delighted to be publishing the tests in association with Testbase, the leading online assessment resource for schools.

The tests are available as end-of-Key-Stage tests for Y2 and 6 and as end-of-year-tests for Y3, 4 and 5. Each test purchase comes with a year’s free access to MERiT and downloadable teacher’s guides to support administration.

Find out more and see samples of the tests at oxfordprimary.co.uk/onct. Save 20% with the code BTS2020 until 23/10/20.
