TS | What do you think a yearbook means for students?
GH | Our business Meno Recollections was set up to help people capture memories. With a Meno yearbook students capture precious moments from their time and friends at school which will be priceless when they look at the book in years to come. Creating a school yearbook provides a great activity for all students to get involved. It is fun to vote in the polls and upload the best picture of yourself. A yearbook also celebrates the achievement of finishing school, the end of a chapter in their lives.
What is so special about the ones produced by Meno?
Since we started the business we have focused on one core attribute in our yearbooks – bespoke design. We develop a new unique template design for every yearbook we work on, then our system captures the data, and then it is over to our design team who make the books look exceptional. Every picture is cropped and every page is arranged by professional designers to make Meno’s yearbooks look totally unique and that little bit more special.
Is it all done online, or do schools speak to an actual person?
We are just launching our new online system to make putting the yearbook together as simple as possible. All the data is uploaded online by the students in the year making the whole process a collaborative experience.
The yearbook editors work with their dedicated Meno account manager via email and / or on the phone to complete the yearbook. Our service is second to none when helping our clients and our design team has years of experience in supporting students.
Tell us about the competition you are currently running!
In addition to our various promotions we run each year, ie free prom tickets and amazing deals on personalised hoodies, we are launching the Meno Yearbook Design Competition, with our new online system. We wanted students to provide us with some unique new ideas for our designs and the content of our yearbooks. The best unique contribution will win free yearbooks for everyone in their school year, with many great runner up prizes as well offering great discounts.
How do schools enter?
To enter is really easy; just go to menoyearbooks.com/competition and follow the links to the competition. You will need to register your school for a Meno yearbook and then send in your entry. Because we value design and uniqueness our competition is focused on people who can bring new and exciting ideas for their 2018 yearbook.
