Ask any teacher what Gratnells does and most will say ‘the school tray’. Indeed, the Gratnells name is synonymous with school storage solutions across the UK and internationally.
However, not many people know the company has been producing a line of storage options for the healthcare sector for about 40 years.
The Gratnells medical range incorporates BioCote antimicrobial technology into storage trays, trolleys and frames.
Gratnells is now bringing this technology to its education range.
The BioCote antimicrobial additive is proven to be effective in combatting surface contamination from a wide range of bacteria, fungi, and viruses.
In a comparative study, BioCote created an antimicrobial classroom, using Gratnells antimicrobial trays as the storage element.
Over the course of an academic year, the results of the study were extraordinary. There was a 96% reduction in surface bacteria present in the classroom and a 20% decrease in absenteeism related to ill health.
As Coronavirus lockdown measures continue to be eased, most teachers are now back in school and teaching full classes of students.
With health and hygiene in mind, Gratnells has added antimicrobial protections into a range of its popular classroom storage products.
The addition of antimicrobial protection helps to maintain a more hygienic surface between normal cleaning routines and the new range has been designed to help keep classroom layouts as flexible as possible.
Callero Shield covers the popular Callero storage trolleys and trays that are perfect for the deployment of resources in a Covid aware classroom.
Gratnells antimicrobial trays come in translucent or kiwi jelly tint and in four different sizes.
BioCote treated lids are also available to further protect stored medical, school or first aid equipment.
They can be used in classrooms for storage of maths manipulatives, art supplies, workbooks and beyond and can be used on or under desks for students to safely store their personal belongings.
The Callero trolleys in the range are offered in double and treble column widths with a range of different tray combinations available.
Not only do they offer flexible and moveable storage, but they can also be used as a portable work table for teachers or can act as a roving demonstration station.
The Gratnells Rover is designed to carry heavy loads over different terrains and up and down stairs.
Available in a range of different tray combinations, learning resources and teaching supplies can be safely and hygienically transported between spaces and to outdoor learning environments.
To complement Callero Shield, the range also include high-density mobile storage frames, a compact single storage trolley and PowerTray, a multiple USB device charger.
SortED is an exciting new range of removable modular tray inserts designed to fit Gratnells shallow and deep trays.
The new SortED range of tray inserts are also treated with the BioCote additive and are dishwasher safe, meaning they can safely be distributed and easily cleaned.
