Free UK Parliament teaching resources

What is it?

UK Parliament offers a wide range of free online and print resources, which link to the curriculum and support primary and secondary teaching about Parliament, politics and democracy.

UK Parliament’s free resources support curriculums in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

The resources themselves comprise a mix of online and printed activities, together with accompanying teacher notes, a selection of booklets (with print copies available to order on request), PowerPoint presentations for use in assemblies, assorted games, lesson plans, videos and more besides.

The teaching materials have all been carefully designed to suit the needs of different learners, while empowering primary and secondary educators to teach a host of different topics that fall within the latest citizenship, history, SMSC, modern studies and politics curricula.

The teaching resources are the perfect accompaniment to UK Parliament’s numerous other free education services. These include school trips, outreach sessions that can be held within your school, teacher training opportunities and a range of special events, including the annual UK Parliament Week.

“All resources I have ordered from UK Parliament are of the highest quality, informative and relevant.”

Leila Harris
Senior leader, Parkfield Primary School, London
