The 2020 Teaching Awards are now open, so it’s time to celebrate everyday excellence in your school.
The Pearson National Teaching Awards are the ‘Oscars’ of the teaching world, highlighting skill and dedication and shining a light on the whole profession.
Entry is simple, and can be done through the Pearson website, here, and the impact of winning can last a lifetime.
Entries close 28 February 2020.
The awards are open to all state and independent schools and FE colleges in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and are free to enter.
So, don’t miss the chance to be part of this celebration of teaching, which culminates in a glittering awards ceremony televised by the BBC as Britain’s Classroom Heroes.
‘It was an absolutely unbelievable evening. We are so proud to be Silver winners and never in our wildest dreams thought Gold was in our sights! Thank you for making us memories which will last a lifetime and will mean so very much to our children and families.’

Celebrate your outstanding colleagues
Just being entered for an award gives a teacher, their school or college and students a sense of their value being recognised.
Winning an award can have a huge impact, not just on the winner, but also on the wider community.
There’s a new category this year too, which is the Award for Impact through Partnership. But here’s the full list.
