Having co-authored the bestselling Dinosaur That Pooped series, Tom has gone solo with his new book The Christmasaurus, aimed at 7-11 year olds.
Set on Christmas Eve, the story follows the magical adventures of a boy named William Trundle and a most unusual dinosaur, the Christmasaurus. It’s about family, friendship and discovering that the impossible might just be possible.
Better yet, the book’s publisher, Puffin, has teamed up with Teachit, the online platform for pooled educational resources, to create a free lesson plan for teachers based around the story, which can be downloaded and printed out for convenience.
This 23-page PDF teaching pack helps you create lessons for children, where they can invent characters and make up rhymes, while also promoting acceptance and celebration of perceived differences.
The pack includes lesson objectives, ideas for activities and plenty of resources to set up lessons that children can really enjoy.
