  • Lesson Plans & Activities To Celebrate Harry Potter’s Big Birthday

Incredibly, on the 26 June 2017 it will be 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was first published. It’s the ideal opportunity to celebrate an internationally loved series that has turned so many children into avid readers.

To help with those celebrations, Teach Primary has worked alongside Bloomsbury to produce a special issue that includes all sorts of practical ideas for the classroom. Volume 11, issue 4 of the magazine is out this week, and inside you’ll find Carey Fluker Hunt’s irresistible teaching plan for The Philosopher’s Stone, 45 classroom activities from Potter buff Selena Gallagher and news of how other schools have been inspired by this rich world of magical stories.

Keep an eye out for the free Harry Potter poster that comes with the magazine too, and click here to find even more lesson plans and activities, and details of where to download the official party pack.
