Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a KS1 Teaching Assistant to work in a local primary school in Leeds. This is a fixed term contract which will commence in Nov 2021

As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing whole class support, working with small groups and assisting the class teacher. The school is a vibrant and dynamic environment, that is designed to stimulate pupils. There is an outstanding support system in place, and leadership has been praised for going above and beyond to support both staff and pupils. This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new challenging and rewarding role.

The aim would be to ensure all pupils reach the national expectations as well as gifted and talented pupils having the opportunity to excel. You will be working in a mixed class of Year 1 and Year 2.

It is essential that you can use assessment to identify gaps and weaknesses in order to constantly challenge pupils. The Head Teacher has a positive approach to leading and managing the school. Children in year 6 currently make good to outstanding progress and enjoy coming to school.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic about creating fun and engaging sessions for mixed ability pupils.

In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:

Experience as a TA
Has worked with KS1 aged children
Used to taking small groups
Be available to work as soon as the children return to school
Reference information for the last six years
The ability to be flexible and adaptable daily
Responsibilities include:

Assisting children push their attainment to the next level
Being creative and using innovation to enhance the learning experience of all pupils
Assessing progress and maintaining discipline

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
