Strong EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant - Full Time ITN Mark Education are urgently looking for a very strong, well-experienced Teaching Assistant to work mainly in Year 1 but possibly part of the time in Reception. At this stage, the position is for a term but if all works out well, it would most likely be extended to cover the school academic year. This is for an immediate start so with great respect, please only send in your CV's if you have the following below experience. The role would be to work with small groups and individual children who have fallen behind during the lockdown. The main areas that would be needed to work on are; 1) Phonics 2) Early reading 3) Basic writing skills Many of the children also have poor speech in the sense they struggle to express themselves and speak in structured sentences - because of this, the Teaching Assistant would need to have a good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and the Year 1 curriculum. They would need to have the capability to think on their feet and the drive to move the children on as rapidly as possible. It is likely they would work outside the classroom a lot of the time so being able to work independently and organise themselves would be key as well
