Full-time SEND Teaching Assistant job in Bristol, BS6. Must have KS1 & KS2 experience. Starting ASAP.
Your new company A primary school in the BS6 area is currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This 3-form entry school has an excellent reputation and provides extensive support and guidance to both teachers and children. This school does not have parking available so you will have to either park 10 minutes away and walk to the school or is easily accessed by public transport.
Your new role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting a pupil in Year 2 on a 1:1 basis. The pupil presents with challenging behaviours and social & emotional needs, so the school is looking for a teaching assistant who has a calm and nurturing manner. You will be working in and out of the classroom delivering 1:1 focussed work. You will be working closely with the SENCo and class teacher providing regular updates with the pupil's progress. You will be working 4 days a week.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 2 years. You will be required to have experience with phonics and early maths You will need strong communication skills, especially when working with groups of children. What you'll get in return
