Want a great job in a great school in a great location? Due to the relocation of our current SENDco to Devon we are looking for an experienced or aspiring SENDco for our Lockleaze Road site. This is an excellent non classed based opportunity with an ongoing commitment to your professional development for the successful candidate.
You will have to work hard here, but only on things that make a difference: we don’t do meaningless paperwork; we don’t grade lessons or monitor planning. We are always trying to find better ways to do our work. We only recruit people who are passionate about making a difference to children’s lives, people who challenge themselves to keep on improving. This means our working relationships can be relatively relaxed and informal. People love working here; we are warm, welcoming, positive, supportive and forward looking. Our innovative approaches means that teachers from Bristol and beyond come to see our work in practice.
You will be joining a 4-form entry school, with an inclusive and multi-cultural ethos based in the diverse Lockleaze/Horfield area of North Bristol. Our community includes pupils and staff from a range of different cultures – all are welcome. We work together to foster children who are collaborative, aspirational, respectful and focused on learning, as well as academically successful.
We are looking for an experienced teacher who: • Has a proven record of success and expertise in empowering children to make rapid progress across the primary age range • Demonstrates optimism about children and expects the highest possible standards • Nurtures pupils’ emotional wellbeing and is committed to inclusion
We offer you: • Sensible and successful systems, based on research, with a commitment to reduce workload wherever possible • A positive, warm and welcoming working environment • Experienced, intelligent, supportive colleagues • Family-friendly working practices
This vacancy is based on our Lockleaze Road site. Visits to the school are strongly recommended and can be arranged via the office on 0117 9030302. We reserve the right to close the selection process early.
