Vision for Education are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in a reception class in an excellent school in the Newcastle area. This position is set to begin at the end of October 2021, working full time to support pupils with Phonics, offering early intervention groups. The school would ideally like an experienced Teaching Assistant, who has outstanding knowledge of teaching the Read, Write, Inc, Phonics Programme. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
The role
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of the Read, Write, Inc, Phonics Programme, be approachable and nurturing towards the pupils and their learning and have a professional approach to all school aspects. The school place importance on creative learning and therefore they require a teacher who will be able to implement unique and interactive teaching methods to engage the children.

The school is a smaller than average provision in Outer West Newcastle. The Head Teacher places importance on the school ethos and values, focusing on the wider community and wellbeing of all staff and pupils. They would like to employ an individual who strives to make improvements across the school board, provides excellent provision for pupils and be able to work independently as well as a team.
Requirements
To be considered for the Early Intervention Teaching Assistant position, you will:
Have had experience of supporting children with diverse needs. Have experience of teaching Read, Write, Inc. Hold a minimum of Level 3 Teaching Qualification. Have an excellent work ethic and positive attitude towards teaching and learning. Be creative and enthusiastic towards delivering learning to the children.
