Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in an exciting Primary School in Manchester. The position involves behaviour management, academic development, and helping with social interactions. The role is based in a supportive Primary school with an excellent standard of education. You must have strong behaviour management skills and confidence in the classroom.

Experience working with those with complex needs or on a 1:1 basis is essential. It is also vital for a suitable candidate to have knowledge of autism and strategies for managing challenging behaviour. You will be able to work effectively with other staff and pupils. The school has good public transport links and is well accessible.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous SEN experience
Previous experience with autism
Relevant qualifications within supporting learning and SEN
An up to date DBSRequirements of the role:

Planning and adapting to the child's needs
Working with children with Complex Needs
Providing a range of support with Communication, Learning and Speech
