Teaching Assistant needed in Halewood primary school
Your new company Hays Education are currently working with a few primary schools in Whiston in order to take on Teaching assistants for day supply opportunities. Due to Covid 19 schools in the local area have received extra government funding in order help students catch up. Therefore, schools are bringing on extra TAs in order to run intervention programmes and help their students. As a result, Hays Education has seen increasing demand for TAs from the schools we work with. It is our current strategy to find as many Teaching assistants as possible so we can help these local schools.
Your new role As a Hays registered TA you will be helping schools in your local area to run intervention programmes for children who have fallen behind as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic. This may involve helping a student on a 1:1 basis or taking small groups. You could be placed in any age group from Early Years-KS2. However, if you have a preference for what age group you would like to work with most, we will try our best to stick to it. Some of the children you will be helping may also have Special Educational Needs so experience working with SEND children is desirable. This is a role that offers complete flexibility, and you work however many days a week as you need.
What you'll need to succeed To become a Hays registered TA you do not require any formal qualifications. However, you must have recent and relevant experience working with Early years or Primary school aged children or currently be studying a childcare/education related degree. You must also have a passion for working with children and be motivated by helping others.
What you'll get in return Flexible working options available. Not only will you receive all the support you need from a DfE accredited recruitment expert, while working for Hays you'll also enjoy a range of employee benefits, including:
