Teacher of Religious Education

Academics are working closely with a very successful mainstream secondary school that is looking for an enthusiastic and committed PRE teacher to join their hugely successful Humanities Faculty.

You will be required to deliver Philosophy, Religion and Ethics to KS3 and KS4 and A level pupils.

You will be working in an outstanding department of 4 teachers, in a school that is known as a fantastic place to work, with a culture that is dedicated to the success and wellbeing of its pupils.

Religious Education (NQTs welcome)
Permanent Roles: Inner London pay scale M1-M3 (£32,157- £41,136.)
Locations: North London (Pinner)
Starting from: ASAP - Jan 2021The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in order to teach RE and Philosophy, such as Theology or Religious Studies. Schools will be seeking teachers with qualified teacher status. Newly qualified teachers are encouraged to apply as relevant opportunities do arise. Continued learning of given subject is crucial, with excellent knowledge of the curriculum and developments within the subject. The schools we work with are searching for the teachers that possess a proven track record in motivating students to achieve and secure better results.

What the role involves:

The role required you to teach Religious Education to all year groups at GCSE, A level as well as vocational programmes as and when applicable.
Effective communication with teachers and students in order to secure the best for the education pupils.
Supporting schools to implement mission statements as well as enrich the overall provisions to students from different backgrounds, learning potential and SEN.
Work in line with school targets and to achieve great outcomes, and to identify further learning to assist in this and implementing best practice methods.
Adhering to health and safety at all times during classroom and outdoor activities.Skills Required:

Excellent working knowledge of RE
Highly flexible and adaptive
Finds fulfilment in working with young people
Excellent communication skills
Ability to 'close the gap' between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged students and committed to the equal opportunities of students and staff.
Technically savvy, knowledgeable and able to use a different range of materials, equipment and software to enhance learning.What can Academics Offer?
