Teaching Personnel are currently working with a SEND School in St Austell to recruit full time, dedicated Teaching Assistants to work alongside students displaying Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a full time role, commencing ASAP.
As an PMLD Teaching Assistant you will be working with children and young people in Key Stages 1 to 5. The successful candidate will be passionate, driven and ready to work alongside students that may sometimes experience challenging behaviour and seem disengaged in the classroom and learning. Your role will be to support the children with their individual learning needs, often working on a 1:1 basis. The school are looking to trial people ASAP so please do get in contact if you think you're the right fit!
The ideal candidate will:
- Support implementation of strategies to manage behaviour
- Record and report the students progress to the teacher and parents
- Establish and maintain relationships with the children and other staff
- Be reliable, passionate and personable
- Have classroom experience working with PMLD
Teaching Personnel can offer the successful PMLD Classroom Assistant competitive pay rates of £10.20 per hour.
