This highly practical one-day workshop is designed to give you the opportunity to:

  • Reflect on research around the use of manipulatives in maths
  • Investigate how Numicon manipulatives support the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach
  • Collaborate with peers to learn how to use the Numicon manipulatives effectively
  • Consider how manipulatives develop and deepen children’s mathematical understanding
  • Discover useful ideas for manipulatives to use back in your classroom

All our introductory workshops will cover essential ‘Getting Started’ activities to familiarize you with the resources and the theory behind Numicon.
